Vegan Bolognese

Get a taste of the Mediterranean with this traditional Bolognese with a meat free twist.


Prepare and chop the onion, peel and dice the carrot and grate the garlic.


Heat a large pan, add the onion and carrot when hot and keep stirring until things start to soften. Add the mushrooms and after a few minutes add the garlic.


Once the garlic is softened add the Vegan mince, tin of tomatoes and the water. Keep the mixture simmering and stir well regularly for 8-10 minutes, if it seems a little thick for your liking then add a little more water.


While the sauce is simmering, prepare and cook your spaghetti as per the instructions on the packet.


Once the spaghetti is cooked add to the sauce and mix together thoroughly, serve and enjoy.


 200 g PlanetY Vegan Mince
 1 tbsp Olive oil
 1 Onion
 2 Garlic cloves
 200 g Mushrooms
 1 Carrot
 1 tsp Dried mixed herbs
 400 g Chopped tomatoes
 400 g Spaghetti
 100 ml Water
